Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park is an amazing place!  It is a photographers paradise when it comes to nature photography and made it especially special to me since I had my large format 4x5 camera.  There is something so moving about looking through the ground glass of a camera and seeing the world flipped upside down and focusing on the most miniscule detail for sharpness.  View camera photography can be a very methodical process that takes time and for me at least put things in perspective to slow things down and not be in such a rush.  Besides blowing off 300 frames to a digital card- the film process makes you create carful decisions on composition and among other things.  Below are some photographs taken on a Speed Graphic and a Ansco ShurShot with Kodak Portra.  (I converted some to black and white, is that a sin? nah!)
